Converting Possibilities Into Probabilities

The life of Jesus was all about the power of belief. He railed against the teachers of the law because they actively perpetuated the lie that only by being morally virtuous would God bless you. He called their teachings evil thoughts. He placed no restrictions on anyone who wanted or needed a miracle. The power of belief is freely available to anyone who wants to manifest the power of Love.

The Probability of Possibilities

All things are possible, but the only things probable are determined by your beliefs. If you believe the wrong things about yourself, you will manifest according to those wrong beliefs. In other words, you co-create your life in direct proportion to your feelings. The greatest command to love your neighbor as yourself requires you to love yourself first. Those who suffer from PTSD have great difficulty getting unstuck from their PTSD, meaning they need people to recognize their symptoms and act accordingly. That’s a tall order to rise up to, requiring patience, meditation, and most importantly to talk it out. This is exactly where our technology fails as there are no substitutes for human interaction. To love someone you need to love yourself first. If…

Gravity of Beliefs, excerpt two

When I first set off to find you I stood on the edge to locate your energy. That’s to say that I scanned the vistas looking for thoughts, self-awareness, that never forms in the black goo of unfiltered blind acceptance of what some call pre-destiny. When you’re a child you hold all the mysteries of the Universe in your heart and it is effortlessly brought forth to inform the mind. I know that angels sustained you all these years which encouraged me. When you saw me I knew you saw my enthusiasm never waned, and I was overjoyed at both for finding you using only my heart and for my patience being rewarded. Even now as we exert up this steep, improbable rarely traveled trail…

Gravity of Beliefs, excerpt one

Ssshhh! I can hear your thoughts form. Be still for there is nothing new to share with you, just this presence to hold us together as we await our intuition to tell us what we should do about our mutual discovery. I know you’ve wanted to be found for so long that when several came close you saw the tentativeness that burns progress erupt as a flame and was no more. I saw your longing under the stars as you fixed your gaze to dark places that could be your home. I too have felt the long cold nights when stars seemed to mock my shivering, but that’s done and gone. We have an oppressive heat to account for and we have to wait until…

Grant Letter

This is the Grant Letter I wrote, asking a donor for $30,000 to fund building the Green Gables Community Garden. To Whom It Concerns, I’m writing to you inform you of the widespread support that exists for the community garden to be created on the grounds of Green Gables Elementary. As Principal I have worked closely with our Sustainable Neighborhood group leaders. I have open to the school cafeteria after hours to allow for the group to have leadership meeting and host their annual Seed Swap. It was during these meetings that the idea of a community garden was born. The garden has the support of myself, staff, teachers and district administrators. As educators we recognize the importance of the tangibles that a community garden…

Silent Radio Broadcasting

I’m excited to announce the pilot episode of “Silent Radio Broadcasting” a fake documentary that shatters stereotypes that you have about the disabled. I kept the name under wraps because it’s a great name that I think people will grow to love. It’s subtitle is goofy: “Radio for the Deaf, TV for the Blind”. In each episodes viewers will recognize how the disabled are uniquely enabled and empowered to encourage everyone. And they’ll see that they’re not as different as “Regular, Extra Large” (a future episode). The pilot introduces how Silent Radio Broadcasting came into being and then ends with the beginning of Marlee Matlin’s reign. Future episodes: a concert for the deaf by one of the coolest bands around: TOOL! Learn how disabled people…

Empowered

The principal writing for my first TV Pilot is finished. The name of it remains under wraps as it’s one of the most creative and hilarious thing I’ve ever come up with. It’s lain dormant for 17 years, and then – boom! – my muse visited me and whispered all kinds of sweet somethings into my ear. The name! That name! Every time I think about the name I start giggling like a school kid who pulled a prank that the teacher still doesn’t know about but every kid in class can see. I giggle at all the hilarious episodes and how the show evolves from outrage to empowerment while owning its outrageous name. And that’s the thing about this TV series. I told someone…

Love At First Kiss

She pulled off her warm nightgown, allowing the cool air to give her the chills. The light barely reached into the far corner of her walk-in closet where timeless memories bring their gentle glow to gaze on one particular outfit. She still sees him. Still there, still here, she remembers the anticipation 76 years ago when she raised her arms as the silk dress slipped over her skin whispering promises of seductive love. She still smells him. She felt something special would happen that night, a knowing spread from her breasts down to her spirit. It still fills her up with joy and gratitude for meeting the man she saw in her dreams. They had 20 wonderful years together before the war took him. Time…

Page Turners Weren’t They?

CAUTION: SPOILERS AHEAD! There’s a scene in “The Last Jedi” that highlights how followers of whatever religion have become stunted caricatures of theirselves. In a startling scene in “The Last Jedi” Luke has a torch to burn down the Tree of Life and the ancient sacred Jedi texts it contains. Yoda appears and comically mocks Luke, stating “read them all have you? Page turners, weren’t they?” Yoda proceeds to manipulate the weather to burn the tree and the sacred texts with lightning. Luke is aghast. Then Yoda proceeds to teach young Skywalker things that he doesn’t know about the way of the Jedi, things that reading cannot impart. If your beliefs are based solely on reading and memorizing religious texts, you’ll wind up with rigid…

New Stories – Happy Hanukkah Marlee Matlin

“Let go of your story so the Universe can write a new one.” This resonates with me because I didn’t let go of my story – the one of how I had to learn how to walk, talk, and read again, and my hearing was gone for good. It was devastating to be 21, halfway through college, and have the entire Earth yanked out from under my feet. Worse, my mom didn’t a tell a soul, not even my father nor siblings. When I told my father my story 7 years ago, my father walked out. I thought he walked out because it was brutal, he couldn’t take anymore. Turns out he couldn’t stomach me perpetuating a lie. To this day he and my siblings…

Just Around The Bend

They’re afraid, afraid of something vaguely specific A blurry suspicion it’s a common feeling of angst among those who traffic in fear and division to come face to face with all the force of the Unifyingverse. They’ve know all along via a procession of a select few initiates of what’s just around the bend as if there’s no one alive who’s got their intuition tuned in to their heart who wouldn’t sense They’re right to be afraid they thought it was a fairy tale something so grand it most certainly could not be free no fucking way please tell me it isn’t true to have all this money certainly there must be a way that I can pay “There is–” came the reply that brought…

A Missionary in Mali

Seems that as along as I can remember that churches send missionaries to foreign countries to put a band-aid on the damage done by our government’s silent support of whatever instability and its consequences in whatever country that happens to have resources that can be exploited. I remember meeting this one woman who was a few years older than me. She was super positive and outgoing. She went to Mali for 2 years. She came back and struggled mightily. It was part culture shock in that she saw her previous lifestyle as superficial as it can get. Going to church didn’t hold any meaning for her any longer even though she went every Sunday anyways. At that time my hearing was shot and I was…

#MeToo

The body not only keeps the score but it keep adding points in favor of trauma. And it keeps repeating until a person either kills their self, dies, or gets help.
